They left out a lot of Jacob in Eclipse, so much it actually downgraded Eclipse on second place in my favorites. You might not even notice it right away, but one essential bit of Jacob they almost ignore from the books was his cockiness. That left gif is one of the very very few moments they let it shine through in the movie. That and him leaning against that car, just FLEXING.

It’s a shame, really. His cockiness is one of the reasons I enjoyed the book so much.
